About The Position

We are seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer for a 6-month, full-time contract (40 hours/week) to support day-to-day network operations in Tampa, FL (on-site only). This role is focused on troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and operational support during a temporary coverage period for a senior engineer. This is not a project or architecture role—the ideal candidate will be hands-on, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced support environment.

Requirements

• Cisco networking
• Catalyst 9300 (switching)
• Catalyst 9800 (wireless controllers)
• Arista switches (primarily access layer environments)
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Panorama management
• GlobalProtect VPN

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day network support, including troubleshooting and resolving incidents
• Manage and work through service tickets and operational tasks
• Support ongoing network operations, ensuring stability and performance
• Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and support cases
• Assist with minor changes, configurations, and maintenance activities
• Support existing infrastructure without involvement in major initiatives or redesigns
