Network Engineer
About The Position
The Network Engineer will help design, build, and continuously improve the client's online platform. The role involves researching, recommending, and implementing technology solutions in line with best practices and standards, and taking responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products. The engineer will design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Cisco and Juniper network environments, with a focus on improving network performance, throughput, scalability, and capacity. The position is located in Needham, Massachusetts; Denver, Colorado; or Atlanta, Georgia.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Strong experience in enterprise network infrastructure design and architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Juniper routers and advanced device configurations.
- Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, IS-IS, QoS, MPLS, and Multicast protocols.
- Experience managing complex enterprise networking environments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with telecommunications, transport networks, or service providers.
- CCNP or other relevant Cisco certifications.
- Relevant Juniper certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level network infrastructure and architecture.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced Juniper network devices and routers.
- Manage complex Cisco and Juniper network environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and troubleshoot networking protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, QoS, MPLS, and Multicast.
- Analyze network performance and identify opportunities to improve throughput, capacity, and scalability.
- Collaborate with a team of network engineers on network design, optimization, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
- Research, suggest, and implement technology solutions following best practices and standards.
- Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.
