About The Position

The Network Engineer will be responsible for administering and maintaining Cisco network infrastructure, with a primary focus on Cisco Catalyst switches and wireless access points. This role involves utilizing Cisco Catalyst Center for automated device provisioning, policy management, and network assurance. The engineer will configure and manage wireless LAN controllers and access points to ensure reliable and secure wireless connectivity, and perform hands-on deployment of network equipment in data centers and office locations. Additionally, the position requires troubleshooting complex network issues, implementing and enforcing security policies, and maintaining detailed network documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches.
  • Proven experience in wireless administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst Center for network management.
  • Strong understanding of wireless networking standards, security protocols (e.g., WPA2/3), and radio frequency (RF) fundamentals.
  • Solid knowledge of network security principles.
  • Great communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco Catalyst switches and wireless access points.
  • Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center for automated device provisioning, policy management, and network assurance.
  • Configure and manage wireless LAN controllers and access points for reliable and secure wireless connectivity.
  • Perform hands-on deployment of switches, access points, and other network equipment in data centers and office locations.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues related to wired and wireless connectivity, performance, and security.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with VLANs, spanning tree protocol, EtherChannel, and other switching technologies.
  • Provide expert-level support for wireless issues, including signal strength, client connectivity, and roaming.
  • Implement and enforce security policies on both wired and wireless networks.
  • Configure and manage access control lists (ACLs), port security, and 802.1X authentication.
  • Monitor network for security threats and unauthorized access attempts.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
  • Monitor network health and performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
