About The Position

The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure. This position uses a thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security. Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. serves as a holding company with multiple subsidiaries engaged in several lines of business (Business Services, Health, Infrastructure and Engineering, Mission Optimization, Technology and Transportation) for the federal government and commercial enterprises. Requirements

  • The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Top Secret level.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
  • Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and four to eight (4-8) years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains computer networks and related computing environments.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop basic network solutions.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves moderate network issues independently.
  • Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  • Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency.
