About The Position

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the company to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network Booz Allen needs. As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture to support the company’s network infrastructure. You’ll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Requirements

  • Experience with Cisco IOS configuration and administration
  • Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst Center, or Cisco Wireless
  • Experience in network modeling, analysis, or capacity planning
  • Ability to respond to on-call and emergency incidents, and support network event escalations
  • HS diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud networking using tools such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with scripting or automation using tools such as Python or Ansible
  • Knowledge of datacenter technologies, including virtualization, cloud IaaS such as Azure or AWS, F5 load balancing, firewall, and security technologies
