About The Position

The Network Engineer will support a large-scale End-of-Support (EOS) network refresh initiative. This role is responsible for migrating customer services from legacy network equipment to newer platforms, primarily within a Juniper-based environment. The engineer will analyze existing router configurations, develop migration plans, create implementation documentation, and execute network migrations during scheduled maintenance windows. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, coordinating with multiple internal teams and field resources, and managing several migration projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years supporting service provider, ISP, cable, telecom, or carrier networks
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper MX, ACX, and/or QFX platforms
  • Network migration, hardware refresh, or platform replacement experience
  • Experience creating MOPs/MOFs and executing production changes
  • Ability to perform maintenance windows, cutovers, and customer migrations
  • Strong routing knowledge including: BGP,OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VLANs
  • Hands-on configuration experience with Juniper (primary), Cisco and/or Nokia
  • Experience reviewing existing configurations and building replacement configurations independently

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities within complex routed environments
  • EOL/EOS replacement project experience
