About The Position

REJIS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer Specialist to join their team. This role involves solving complex technical challenges, staying current with emerging technology, and contributing to the development of secure and reliable infrastructure. The Network Engineer Specialist will act as a technical expert for REJIS and its clients, influence technology decisions, address difficult network and infrastructure issues, and mentor other IT professionals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field and 10–12 years of experience in a network technology environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN networking, infrastructure, network security, and related technologies
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently
• Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, or leadership to other IT professionals
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed
• Valid driver’s license and legally required automobile insurance

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience with project management, budgeting, client relationship management, and emerging network technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of complex WAN/LAN networks and infrastructure
• Monitor network health and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Serve as a technical expert and mentor to Network Engineers and other IT staff
• Research and evaluate new technologies and determine their suitability for REJIS and its clients
• Lead or support network and infrastructure projects, technology assessments, and client needs assessments
• Enhance network security and ensure compliance with requirements such as CJIS and MULES
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, management, and internal teams to develop effective technology solutions
• Contribute to technology budgeting, vendor evaluations, and infrastructure planning
