This role involves a blend of network engineering and information security responsibilities. The Network Engineer III will be responsible for coding and configuring components to meet business and technical requirements, including non-functional aspects like maintainability, availability, and scalability. They will also be involved in selecting appropriate development tools and languages, and creating automation scripts for CI/CD and other processes. A key aspect of the role is ensuring security policy requirements are met during development. In Network Operations, the engineer will monitor network performance, suggest metrics, determine thresholds, and trigger alerts. The role also includes Requirement and Scoping Analysis, contributing to user stories and preparing requirement traceability matrices. In Network Design, the engineer will translate infrastructure designs into technical specifications for complex architectures involving addressing, routing, security, data center, IP multicast, VPN, and wireless domains. Network Maintenance involves creating change plans for updates and enhancements, isolating and resolving network faults, and investigating unresolved issues. For Network Issue Resolution, the engineer will independently identify and evaluate solutions for moderately complex issues, and diagnose incidents to restore services within SLAs. The role requires Security Domain Acumen, demonstrating awareness of security principles, comparing industry maturity, and providing expert advice and guidance.
