About The Position

ProSync is seeking a Network Engineer to join a mixed team of civilian leads and contractors responsible for supporting two unique operational customers and their distributed networking environments. The role involves configuring network systems in multiple locations, supporting fielding efforts both in person and remotely, and providing ongoing sustainment for Cisco, Arista, firewall, and crypto devices. The engineer will be supporting daily operations through JIRA‑driven workflows, lab configuration tasks, and SSP compliance activities.

Requirements

  • An active Top Secret/SCI w/ Fullscope Polygraph clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of experience in network engineering (OR) An Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience (OR) A Master’s degree or higher in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Significant experience with Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment.
  • Experience with Jira Ticketing, Safe Net, Netapp, and Visio.
  • Familiarity with Latte 'Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.
  • An IAT Level I certification or higher (e.g., A+, Network+, SSCP).

Responsibilities

  • Configure network systems and support fielding of new gear at main site and remote 2nd/3rd‑party locations.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and update Cisco and Arista devices supporting mission‑critical networking environments.
  • Provide ongoing sustainment and troubleshooting for firewall appliances and crypto gear used by operational customers.
  • Use Latte’Art to support STE/STN and SSP compliance activities, ensuring devices meet all required security and configuration standards.
  • Start each day by reviewing team chat and emails, then work through assigned JIRA tickets to support operational and sustainment tasks.
  • Spend time in the lab configuring new systems, testing upgrade configurations, and preparing gear for deployment.
  • Perform recurring SSP compliance tasks including documentation updates, configuration validation, and audit preparation.
  • Work closely with civilian leads, contractors, and mission customers to ensure reliable network operations and successful fielding activities.
