The Network Engineer II supports the functionality and availability of enterprise-wide mission critical University networks by performing network engineering and administration independently or as directed. This role focuses on ticket resolution, ownership of all Layer 2 switching configuration and deployment, IPAM configurations, network hardware management, inventory and surplus management. The position performs low- to moderate-complexity operational network management and maintenance tasks. The Network Engineer II participates in network problem identification, analysis, and resolution for low- to moderate-complexity problems. They also assist with strategy, planning, and design of the campus and wide-area networks and may provide guidance and training to entry-level network engineers.
