About The Position

CACI is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join their team in Chantilly, VA to assist with the client’s complex infrastructure, with expertise spanning multiple critical domains, including custom cross-domain architecture. Your work will focus on designing, engineering and implementation of complex mission networks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering), with a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in a relevant technical field to the position
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, with polygraph
  • 5+ years in Network Engineering (LAN/WAN, Communications, Computer Systems, Cross Domain), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong background in CI/CD in relationship to Cross Domain Solutions and general software development
  • Sound judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills with an ability to adapt to emerging issues and changing priorities under short deadlines
  • 15+ years in Network Security: Experience with network security technologies, such as: Firewalls (configuration, rule management), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Secure network architecture design
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN), and devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and stay abreast of leading-edge technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud deployment technologies and automation
  • Detailed oriented, organized, able to multitask, and adaptable to shifting requirements
  • Flexibility – works well both independently and as a team player; must be eager to learn
  • Candidate should be a self-starter and possess a willingness to dive into new technologies when appropriate
  • Experience implementing and documenting standard operating procedures of systems or networks (e.g., Linux, Window, Cloud platforms etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the intricacies and interdependencies within these systems, enabling informed decision-making and providing strategic guidance
  • Spend a significant amount of time dedicated towards assisting improving reliability in each of the systems and researching root-cause of Tier 2 related tickets
  • Foster collaborative partnerships across functional teams and identify opportunities to build efficiencies into innovative IT systems that support the cyber mission systems
  • Required to participate in the 24/7 duty phone rotation – estimated at 3x per year
