About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking experienced Network Engineers to join a technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure, sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology with containerized solutions and orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and career-rewarding experience to recruit and develop top talent and solutions on one of the most complex and high-profile programs within the government.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 11 years' experience
  • Experience and expertise working with commercial cloud service providers (eg. Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) building out VPCs with Linux VMs, configuring them as network appliances (eg. Linux as a router) and locking them down to meet cyber security standards
  • Experience configuring and hardening Linux OS in both cloud and physical environments
  • Experience configuring and hardening network gear to include firewalls, switches, routers, IPS, etc
  • Experience and expertise working with commercial VPNs
  • Experience working with commercial messaging applications (CMA) and Android tablet devices
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues after hours and on weekends, ie. Call in support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and expertise deploying CNGA internet network infrastructure with a thorough understanding of the customers mission
  • Working knowledge and expertise using the customer’s core appliances and services to include their networks
  • Working knowledge and experience with the customer’s core networks
  • Ability to obtain special requirements (to be discussed during interview)
