Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or related field of study and 3 years of experience with network engineering and operational management.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or related field of study and 1 year of experience with network engineering and operational management.
• 3 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Hands on experience with VLANs, STP, Trunking, and WIFI.
• Applying routing protocols OSPF and EIGRP.
• Network security principles.
• Working with network management and monitoring tools.
• Working with operating systems, and virtualization.
• Documenting technical procedures, system configurations, and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve basic network problems.
• Assist in the implementation of network security measures.
• Perform network architecture design, plan and maintenance tasks on network hardware, and support network infrastructure components.
• Install, support, and maintain hardware and software infrastructure including Cisco routers and switches, Meraki Wi-Fi controllers, firewalls, and structured cabling according to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Implement the necessary controls to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
• Part of third-level helpdesk escalation providing support to helpdesk staff when engineering support is needed related to the Network.
