About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Network Dev Engineer II for multiple positions available in Austin, Texas. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale network infrastructure, configuring and maintaining network devices, developing automation solutions, performing complex troubleshooting, architecting secure network solutions, executing capacity planning, designing high-availability solutions, configuring WAN technologies, implementing monitoring systems, and conducting technical analysis of network incidents.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Four years of experience with major internet routing protocols (including with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP).
Four years of experience working with Linux or Unix environments and command-line interfaces.
Four years of experience with network security protocols and best practices.
Four years of experience with network troubleshooting tools and packet analyzers.
Four years of programming in Python, Bash, or Perl.
Four years of experience with TCP/IP networking and OSI model.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize large-scale network infrastructure utilizing BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.
Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and wireless access points in fulfillment centers.
Develop and implement network automation solutions using Python/Shell scripting for configuration management and monitoring.
Perform complex network troubleshooting using packet analysis tools, logs, and monitoring systems.
Architect and deploy secure network solutions incorporating VLANs, ACLs, and security protocols.
Execute network capacity planning and performance optimization using traffic analysis and monitoring tools.
Design and implement high-availability network solutions with redundancy and failover capabilities.
Configure and maintain MPLS, VPN, and other WAN technologies for site connectivity.
Implement network monitoring and alerting systems using industry-standard tools and protocols.
Conduct technical analysis of network incidents and implement preventive measures.
