About The Position

This position is responsible for protocol inter-networking and architecture of our cloud computing platform. The role involves configuring and troubleshooting network traffic engineering using BGP/OSPF and large-scale network operations and maintenance procedures. The engineer will analyze networks and troubleshoot network bugs to successfully mitigate large scale issues. Key tasks include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as upgrading software on these devices in a large-scale network environment. The role also requires conceptualizing large scalable network solutions, writing applicable acceptance and design documentation, and implementing solutions on a reduced time scale. Additionally, the position involves mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. OR three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
  • One year of experience in IP networking fundamentals and the application of IP protocols
  • One year of experience with protocols and technologies, including VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, VPNs, MPLS, DNS, and HTTP
  • One year of experience with either Python or PERL scripting
  • One year of experience documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems
