About The Position

The Network/Data Engineer (ESB) is responsible for network and data engineering tasks, including troubleshooting and configuration of various Cisco equipment, security appliances, and related hardware. This role also involves installation and operation of servers, UPS, patch panels, and other network infrastructure components. Additionally, the position requires proficiency in cryptographic key management, preventative hardware maintenance, and computer literacy with MS Office products.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ experience directly related to the position as a network data engineer.
  • Experience troubleshooting and configuration of Cisco Routers and Switches.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice-over-IP phones.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA/Palo Alto security appliances and TACLANE devices.
  • Experience with installation and operation of Servers, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Patch Panels, Media Converters, Avocent KVM switches, Ethernet/Fiber/Coaxial cables.
  • Experience with Cryptographic Key Management.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on hardware.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office products (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).
  • IAWF / CSWF: DoD 8570.01 / DoD 8140 IAT Level I.
  • Certification & Training, Baseline, day 1: IAT Level I, II, or III, IAW DoDM 8570 standards.
  • Certification & Training, CE, day 1: CCNA.
  • Must be able to maintain a US Government issued TS clearance with SCI eligibility throughout the life of the contract.
  • May be asked to provide proof of US citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification & Training, CE, within 6 months: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or CCNP Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and configure Cisco Routers and Switches.
  • Manage and configure Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Voice-over-IP phones.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco ASA/Palo Alto security appliances and TACLANE devices.
  • Install and operate Servers, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Patch Panels, Media Converters, and Avocent KVM switches.
  • Work with Ethernet/Fiber/Coaxial cables.
  • Manage Cryptographic Key Management.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all hardware as recommended by the equipment vendor.
  • Deliver training in a professional classroom environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.
