Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field, including 5+ years of work experience beyond degree within provider contracting and/or health insurance
  • Superior problem solving, decision-making, communication negotiating skills, contract language and financial acumen
  • Ancillary provider contracting and negotiations
  • Experience negotiating delegated credentialing agreements
  • Experience in developing and managing key provider relationships including senior executives
  • Demonstrated experience in seeking out, building and nurturing strong external relationships with provider partners
  • Team player with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within a fast-paced organization
  • Customer centric and interpersonal skills are required

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and maintain agreements with vendors and national providers
  • Streamline and automate contracting support processes
  • Coordinate training of new hires and staff - identify best practices and share across team
  • Provide guidance to negotiators on how to improve their contracting performance
  • Maintain the provider manual and update quarterly
  • Maintain contracting templates the PADU standards
  • Manage the provider termination process
  • Organizing JOCs with key providers
  • Serve as the network focal point for internal departments (Legal, Compliance, Care Nav, Ops, Member Services)
  • Review Delegated Credentialing agreements
