About The Position

This role involves providing expertise in network architecture and consulting services. The selected candidate will be responsible for various IT systems, including storage, virtualization, and compliance with regulations such as PCI/NIST and Pub 1075. The position requires a strong understanding of networking protocols, disaster recovery, and change management. The consultant will need to have their own equipment as Lumen and its clients will not provide it. Access to a virtual desktop will be provided for system access.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, MLLP, NDMP, and NTP
  • 3+ years of experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) hardware and software administration
  • 3+ years of experience with Veeam software
  • 3+ years of experience with Hyper-V host and VM administration
  • 3+ years of experience with projects involving PCI/NIST regulations, implementations, and/or audits
  • 3+ years of experience with Change Management
  • 3+ years of experience with Disaster Recovery
  • 3+ years of experience with configuring and troubleshooting VMware
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in IT Systems or a related field OR 6+ years of experience in IT Systems or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot VMware environments.
  • Administer Hyper-V hosts and VMs.
  • Manage Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) hardware and software.
  • Administer Veeam software.
  • Implement and manage projects involving PCI/NIST regulations.
  • Manage Change Management processes.
  • Oversee Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
  • Ensure STIG Hardening is applied.
  • Participate in projects involving Pub 1075 regulations.
