About The Position

This role involves providing expertise in network architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on transportation systems and cybersecurity. The consultant will be responsible for designing and integrating networks, ensuring network security, and working with various traffic control and connected vehicle technologies. The position requires the contractor to provide their own equipment, with access to a virtual desktop environment provided by the client.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with transportation design, networking, applications, and integration.
5+ years of experience with network and network security design and implementation.
5+ years of experience with TCP/IP, network security protocols, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), VLANs, MPLS, VRF, Cisco SD-WAN, SNMP, wireless infrastructure (URWB, WiFi, cellular, 4G/5G), and Cisco FTD/FMC.
5+ years of experience with Cisco XDR, Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Secure Endpoint, Cisco Network Analytics, Cisco Client, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and ITS profile.
5+ years of experience with traffic signal controllers, conflict monitors, traffic preemption devices, traffic sensors, CCTV, video cameras, and connected vehicle technologies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cisco Cyber Vision and Cisco Catalyst Center.
Experience with Cisco ZTNA.
Cisco certification (CCNP or higher).

Responsibilities

Design and implement networks and network security solutions.
Integrate transportation design elements with network infrastructure.
Utilize expertise in TCP/IP, network security protocols, and routing protocols.
Configure and manage VLANs, MPLS, VRF, and Cisco SD-WAN.
Implement and manage wireless infrastructure including URWB, WiFi, cellular, and 4G/5G.
Work with Cisco FTD/FMC, Cisco XDR, Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Secure Endpoint, and Cisco Network Analytics.
Apply knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and ITS profile.
Integrate and manage traffic signal controllers, conflict monitors, traffic preemption devices, traffic sensors, CCTV, video cameras, and connected vehicle technologies.
