About The Position

Amentum seeks a Network and Systems Engineer III to provide remote IT solutions and support for Amentum programs and projects worldwide. This is a remote-telework position; applicants must live in the United States and be U.S. citizens. The role supports program and project IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, connectivity, and technical documentation. It requires worldwide travel of 40% or more and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer information systems, or a related field; one year of experience may substitute for each year of a bachelor’s degree.
Typically five years of related experience in information technology.
Typically five years of experience working in Azure GCCH and commercial cloud computing environments.
Three years of specific remote program or field-support experience outside the continental United States.
Current certification as a Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
Current Security+ certification.
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance and remain eligible at the required security level throughout employment.
Ability and willingness to travel worldwide 40% or more.
Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrated analytical, research, and technical-writing skills.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Visio skills.
Strong professional English communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt rapidly to changing priorities and schedules.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Oracle SQL Database, SharePoint, ASP.NET, and other web-development platforms.

Responsibilities

Evaluate program or project requirements under IT leadership guidance and make appropriate technical recommendations.
Provide technical support for security assessments to the Amentum ISO department as needed.
Maintain servers and network infrastructure at program and project sites as needed.
Support IT staffing shortfalls.
Coordinate and implement on-site development, installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of IT infrastructure for programs and projects.
Diagnose errors and technical issues in existing programs or projects and recommend resolutions.
Provision Azure virtual servers and applications.
Deploy VSAT services, such as Starlink, and mobile cellular internet service worldwide.
Install and verify physical ISP/OSP CAT6 or later cable infrastructure as needed.
Produce timely and detailed documentation during support phases.
Establish documentation for new or existing IT processes.
Follow Amentum policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate and share information with Amentum Corporate IT technical teams.
Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations or briefings to stakeholders.
Build positive relationships with program and project personnel, including Amentum employees and customers.
Perform other duties as required.
