About The Position

Heritage Family Credit Union is seeking an IT professional to support and maintain our network and infrastructure environment. This role is primarily responsible for the administration, security, performance, and reliability of the Credit Union's network infrastructure, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless networks, and connectivity between locations and cloud services. In addition to network administration responsibilities, this position provides systems administration support across server, cloud, and identity platforms. We recognize that networking and systems administration are often separate specialties in larger organizations. Candidates with strong experience in either network administration or systems administration are encouraged to apply, provided they have the aptitude and willingness to develop expertise in the complementary discipline. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or commensurate work experience.
  • 4-6 years of Networking administration, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related technology role.
  • Strong experience in either network administration or systems administration required.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) supporting enterprise network infrastructure and integrated cloud networking platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, and Windows Server environments both on-premises and in Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize, problem‑solve, and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Ability to document systems, procedures, and operational processes clearly
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement operational or process improvements.
  • This position requires sitting for extended periods of time and working primarily at a workstation or desk in an office environment.
  • Daily tasks include extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion, as well as extensive use of the phone.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment (50+ pounds) and other materials as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in both network and systems disciplines is preferred.
  • Experience working in a credit union, financial services, or banking environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize the Credit Union’s network and systems infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches, wireless, and remote connectivity, ensuring reliable and secure operation.
  • Monitor system and network performance, identify issues, and take corrective action to maintain uptime, stability, and overall availability across all locations.
  • Maintain accurate system, network, and access documentation, including configurations, procedures, and audit records to support operational consistency and examinations.
  • Support and troubleshoot escalated network and systems issues, working closely with Helpdesk staff, vendors, and internal teams to resolve incidents and minimize business impact.
  • Perform after-hour system patching, software updates, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements on a regular basis.
  • Participate in IT operations and projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and ongoing improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
  • Travel to all Credit Union branch locations as required to provide onsite technical support, install or service equipment, support business operations, and assist with incident response or system issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, standards, procedures, and audit records.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and risk compliance standards in all job responsibilities, maintaining the organization's regulatory integrity and mitigating potential risks.
