About The Position

Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System (VBHCS) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their team. This role provides critical hands-on hardware and software support to end users across multiple Tennessee locations. The IT Support Specialist will act as a key player in troubleshooting network issues, managing devices, and ensuring the team has the technology they need to succeed.

Requirements

3+ years of related IT support experience (required).
Deep hardware knowledge, including device rebuilding and maintenance.
Solid understanding of networking infrastructure, topologies, wireless, and mobile configurations.
Strong communication skills, great people skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (preferred).
Familiarity with VoIP technology and phone configuration.

Responsibilities

Provide direct hardware/software support and hands-on training to VBHCS staff.
Assist in developing user-friendly training guides.
Resolve system or network issues and help the IT team triage problems.
Travel locally within the Cumberland Plateau and Middle Tennessee area to support various locations.
Configure, image, repair, and completely rebuild desktop and laptop devices.
Support and deploy all technology devices across the VBH network.
Manage software installations, user access, and peripheral device setups.
Administer and configure mobile technologies, including cell phones and MiFis.
Administer and support user and hardware accounts.
Manage facility access systems and assign security cards.
