About The Position

Supports the mission of Joplin Schools and the value of education. Complies with student privacy rights and safeguards confidential information. Communicates effectively with school district members and the community, providing excellent customer service. Adapts to change, stays updated on new information and techniques, and maintains accurate records. Ensures all activities comply with district and state guidelines. This role requires the ability to lift 50lbs.

Requirements

• One year of experience in technology
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
• The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability.
• The individual must be able to travel between district facilities.
• The position requires a moderate amount of travel, both in and out of the district.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with MacOS, Windows, and ChromeOS environments.
• Handling large projects as assigned.
• Diagnose and repair Hardware/Software problems.
• Proficient in a Google Workspace environment.
• Work on different servers including Windows DHCP and DNS
• Understanding of IDPs
• Installing and maintaining networks and hardware systems
• Diagnosing network problems and repairing issues with connectivity
• Managing permissions of users and devices
• Have an understanding of Network wiring standards and methods.
• Understanding of Basic Electricity and Electronics
• Other duties assigned as necessary by Supervisor.
