About The Position

SMX is seeking a highly skilled Network and Computer Systems Administrator to provide 24x7 operational support for classified enterprise systems and mission networks. Responsibilities include proactive monitoring, incident response, break/fix support, configuration management, patch management, and system availability for critical Army mission systems. We are seeking professionals to support the Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA) who are responsible for the overall architecture of various technologies, transmission, and termination of digital communication across the globe for the Department of Army on behalf of the U.S. Army G2. This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
  • Experience with architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies
  • Experience with troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages
  • Experience with implementing Cisco ISE and a TACACS provider
  • Experience with designing and implementing DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices
  • Experience with cisco Spine and Leaf network architectures
  • Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized architectures
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise IT operations.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux servers.
  • Experience with VMware.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise networking.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience implementing DISA STIGs.
  • Security+ CE.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with technical system security reviews using system scan tools, including ACAS and SCAP
  • Experience with enterprise server, storage, software, and application services
  • Experience in pushing configurations with automation through Ansible or Terraform
  • Knowledge of building and maintaining SolarWinds NPM and IPAM
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Microsoft MCSA/MCSE Certification

Responsibilities

  • Proactive monitoring, incident response, break/fix support, configuration management, patch management, and system availability for critical Army mission systems.
  • Maintaining an operational network in a facility to that maintains 24/7/365 operations.
  • Implementing infrastructure and cyber security controls, that include enhanced detection of vulnerability capabilities.
