About The Position

The Network Analyst/Tech is a central university office position that supports the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network services and devices. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and two years of related IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude about troubleshooting and testing activities related to network services.
  • Aptitude to perform troubleshooting, testing, scripting and coding.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor critical processes for Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications in the Network Operations Center.
  • Monitor data downloads to ensure job completions and address interruptions and failures.
  • Interact with others to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain 24 x 7 coverage and support, including on-call support, to assist with restoring service and maintaining agreed upon service levels.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network services and devices.
  • Interact with customers to resolve network issues.
  • Perform inspections and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, scripting and coding related to network services.
  • Assist with systems, provide support without direction, and support modifications/changes to configuration.
