About The Position

The Network Analyst/Tech is a central university office position that supports the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network services and devices. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications, ensuring data integrity, and providing timely resolution of network issues.

Requirements

An associate's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and two years of related IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong technical aptitude about troubleshooting and testing activities related to network services.
Aptitude to perform troubleshooting, testing, scripting and coding.

Responsibilities

Monitor critical processes for Emory's enterprise-wide systems and applications in the Network Operations Center.
Monitor data downloads to ensure job completions, and address interruptions and failures.
Interact with others to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Maintain 24 x 7 coverage and support, including on-call support, to assist with restoring service and maintaining agreed upon service levels.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network services and devices.
Interact with customers to resolve network issues.
Perform inspections and upgrades.
Develop and maintain documentation.
Perform troubleshooting and testing activities related to network services.
Perform troubleshooting, testing, scripting and coding.
Assist with systems, provide support without direction, and support modifications/changes to configuration.
Report to the NOC Manager, or the Run or Build Manager of Network Services.
Perform other duties as required.
