Network Administrator (NetOps) - Tier 3

About The Position

As a Tier 3 Network Operations Engineer, you will tackle complex tasks requiring extensive research, teamwork, and creativity. You will design and deliver solutions that require substantial coordination and technical ability, and produce high-level technical documents explaining problems and solutions to audiences with varying technical backgrounds. The role includes implementing and installing network projects at sites or locales, developing customer-focused network designs, and designing and implementing new solutions. Travel to other sites for network operations and administration activities is required. The position may involve unpacking and moving network components of average weight and volume.

Requirements

IAT II certification.
CCNA certification.
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly, or TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI poly before starting.
Meet one of the following minimum education and experience combinations: High School/GED plus 9 years; associate degree plus 7 years; bachelor's degree plus 5 years; master's degree plus 3 years; or PhD plus 1 year.

Responsibilities

Implement and install network technical projects within a site or locale.
Facilitate engineering design data calls.
Identify and recommend network changes to improve efficiencies in network monitoring, management, and operations.
Troubleshoot network failures and accessibility issues.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Develop network implementation and deployment documentation.
Develop efficient network designs that meet customer requirements.
Lead research and testing of new or modified hardware and software products to determine performance and interoperability.
Design and implement new solutions.
Travel to other sites for network operations and administration activities.
