Network Administrator (NetOps) - Tier 3
About The Position
As a Tier 3 Network Operations Engineer, you will solve complex tasks that require research, teamwork, and creativity, and design and deliver solutions requiring substantial coordination and technical ability. You will write high-level technical documents explaining problems and solutions to audiences with varying technical backgrounds. The role includes implementing and installing network projects at a site or locale; facilitating engineering design data calls; identifying and recommending network changes to improve monitoring, management, and operations; troubleshooting network failures and accessibility issues; and developing implementation documentation and customer-focused network designs. You will lead research and testing of new or modified hardware and software for performance and interoperability, and design and implement new solutions. Travel to other sites for network operations and administration is required. The position may involve unpacking and moving network components of average weight and volume.
Requirements
- IAT II qualification.
- CCNA.
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, or TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph before starting.
- Minimum education and experience: High school diploma/GED plus 9 years, associate degree plus 7 years, bachelor's degree plus 5 years, master's degree plus 3 years, or Ph.D. plus 1 year.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
