About The Position

Acture Solutions is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Network Administrator to support a large-scale educational environment in Niskayuna, NY. This onsite role is responsible for maintaining and securing critical network infrastructure while supporting enterprise networking, security, wireless systems, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years of experience supporting enterprise-level network environments
  • Strong understanding of networking, systems administration, and infrastructure security
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies and wireless environments
  • Familiarity with virtualization, Microsoft environments, and identity management
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams
  • Valid driver’s license, fingerprinting, and background check required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting complex or multi-site environments preferred
  • Cisco, Microsoft, or CompTIA certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Support and lead infrastructure projects, including Cisco Call Manager to WebEx migration initiatives
  • Administer firewall security policies, monitoring tools, and intrusion detection systems
  • Oversee server infrastructure including physical and virtual environments
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity management systems
  • Monitor network performance and implement optimization and reliability improvements
  • Apply security patches and support cybersecurity best practices across the environment
  • Maintain documentation, disaster recovery procedures, and escalation support for complex technical issues
  • Support district phone systems including VoIP infrastructure and related technologies
