About The Position

Jordan's Furniture is seeking a Network Administrator II to join its busy IS team. This role is responsible for optimizing network performance, maintaining critical infrastructure, managing advanced security protocols, overseeing documentation and disaster recovery, providing expert technical support, administering user access policies, and advancing network technologies to support business objectives. This hybrid position is base out of our Dedham, MA location. Requirements

  • 3-5 years prior experience in the same or similar capacity is required.
  • Analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Intermediate-level computer and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry standard certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor and optimize complex network performance using advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve connectivity, security, and configuration issues.
  • Lead configuration, installation, patching, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, wireless access points, and cloud network components to ensure high availability and security.
  • Administer and enhance network security by managing sophisticated access control policies, updating security software, and responding to advanced threat alerts or incidents.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, change logs, and security compliance records to facilitate troubleshooting and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct regular network maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery planning to ensure minimal disruption and rapid recovery from outages.
  • Provide escalated, expert-level technical support and training across teams and serve as a subject matter expert for network issues, updates, and escalations.
  • Manage user credentials, permissions, and role-based access controls aligned with corporate security policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors, security teams, and IT colleagues to evaluate, recommend, and implement new networking technologies, automation scripts, and process improvements.
  • Lead and participate in network-related projects covering upgrades, expansions, and migrations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategies.
