V2X is seeking a Network Administrator I to join our AFCENT NOSC IT Enterprise Services Technical Support Team. The candidate should have experience providing administrative support for local and deployed system users and troubleshooting and implementing solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems and network architecture. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification).
  • Firewall experience
  • LAN and WAN Enterprise support experience
  • Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
  • Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technical support to AFCENT users.
  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems, network infrastructure, voice, and video, to include enterprise-level routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies, and caching arrays.
  • Monitor systems/network performance metrics and trends to identify substandard performance and anomalies.
  • Escalate complex systems/network performance, bandwidth and security issues and incidents to senior engineers/SMEs (Tier 2 and 3) for analysis and resolution.
  • Perform Local Registration Authority (LRA) duties.
  • Provide General Networking support
  • Provide LAN support.
  • Provide WAN Enterprise support.
  • Provide technical and general O&M support as required.
  • Provide documentation support as required.
  • Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
  • Provide functional training support as required.
  • Provide CONUS TDY support as required.
