About The Position

RF-SMART is seeking an experienced NetSuite Architect to operate within a governance-through-delivery model. The architect will be responsible for making architecture decisions in flight, producing artifacts like the System of Record matrix, lifecycle definitions, and integration write rules. The primary focus is rearchitecting legacy customizations, simplifying the platform footprint, retiring or replacing modules at end-of-life, and establishing sustainable architectural standards. This role involves governing the work of an implementation partner during modernization, contributing directly to delivery alongside the NetSuite developer and admin, and partnering with various business leaders to align the platform roadmap with business strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant ERP/platform experience.
5+ years architecting NetSuite specifically.
Demonstrated experience leading a NetSuite modernization, rearchitecture, or major re-implementation.
Deep, hands-on expertise in SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), SuiteAnalytics, SuiteBundler, and SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).
Strong grasp of the NetSuite data model and relevant modules (Contract Renewals, SuiteBilling, ARM, SuiteProjects Pro).
Proven experience designing and operating integrations between NetSuite and CRM/marketing/sales-engagement systems via iPaaS (Celigo, Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft, or comparable).
Track record of setting development standards and governance in a multi-developer / partner-augmented NetSuite environment.
Ability to translate between business stakeholders and technical teams, and influence senior business leaders on platform decisions.
Comfortable as a working architect, willing to write and review code, pair with developers, and contribute to delivery.
Fluent AI adopter, using AI tooling in day-to-day architecture, design, and delivery work.
Experience leading the integration of AI capabilities into a platform or system is ideal.

Nice To Haves

Experience with HubSpot, SalesLoft, OpenAir/SuiteProjects Pro, Celigo, ZoomInfo/ZeroBounce, and analytics layers.
Experience with Contract Renewals → SuiteBilling migration, ARM adoption, OpenAir disposition, and customer record rationalization.
Experience with AI tooling in design, code review, documentation, and delivery.
Experience designing AI capabilities into the platform itself.

Responsibilities

Own the target-state architecture for NetSuite and the surrounding lead-to-cash ecosystem.
Lead the re-architecture of legacy customizations and end-of-life modules, assessing technical debt and defining a roadmap for retirement, refactoring, or replacement.
Govern the implementation partner's technical work, including reviewing designs, enforcing standards, validating quality, and holding approval rights on significant design decisions.
Contribute as a hands-on developer/architect on highest-leverage work, pairing with the NetSuite developer to enhance the team's design capabilities.
Establish and enforce development standards for naming conventions, sandbox strategy, code review, deployment, release management, and documentation.
Design integration patterns between NetSuite and surrounding systems, making build-vs-buy and middleware-vs-native decisions.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate process requirements into scalable platform design, advocating for configuration or process changes over customization where appropriate.
Provide technical support escalation backstop for production issues.
Stay current on NetSuite platform releases and emerging SuiteCloud capabilities, assessing applicability and risk.
Apply AI tooling in design, code review, documentation, and delivery, and design AI capabilities into the platform.
Mentor the NetSuite developer and admin on architectural thinking, platform best practices, and modernization patterns.
