About The Position

This position will work on a high-profile web application project at the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, enhancing an existing application. The developer will work closely with the team to design and develop the application's front end and server side, using Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC with C# and JavaScript, Telerik Kendo, CSS, HTML, and SQL Server. The application interfaces with existing systems, including an authentication and authorization application, and uses data from multiple databases and applications. The role requires creating and editing stored procedures and other database objects, such as tables, views, and functions.

The work includes requirements analysis, design, front-end and back-end development, testing, interactive code reviews, and technical documentation. Expectations include producing quality code, participating in active code reviews, sharing expertise, communicating respectfully and transparently, and documenting technical requirements and designs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of application development expertise using .NET MVC Core with C# and JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• At least 5 years of application development experience using Visual Studio, including .NET application and web application design patterns.
• At least 5 years of experience with SQL Server and SQL Client tools, including creating, updating, and using tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• At least 5 years of experience writing JavaScript-based responsive HTML5 applications using CSS and HTML.
• At least 5 years of excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 3 years of experience with Bootstrap and Entity Framework Core.
• At least 3 years of experience using Git for source control.
• At least 3 years of experience with the full SDLC and knowledge of project management principles.
• At least 3 years of experience with TFS/Azure DevOps.
• At least 3 years of experience in requirements analysis and documenting technical requirements and design.
• At least 2 years of experience creating Power BI reports.
• At least 1 year of experience with Telerik Kendo and authentication and authorization techniques.
• At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and contribute to application design.
• Develop the front end and server side of a web application.
• Enhance an existing web application using the specified .NET, web, and database technologies.
• Create and update SQL Server database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Test application features and participate in interactive code reviews.
