About The Position

We are working with a government entity in Austin, Texas, to find a .NET developer to support an ongoing upgrade project. This role involves supporting inter-government projects and platform enhancements, as well as a portal project designed to upgrade how the Government interacts with internal and external partners. The goal is to move away from traditional Client Services Systems and build slick portals for seamless information flow and improved partner interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, possess strong communication skills, and collaborate effectively with a small team of engineers. The technology stack includes .Net 6 (.Net Core), .Net 5, and SQL. Experience across the full stack (.Net Core/C# and SQL) is required. JavaScript experience is a plus, though the majority of the work is in the middleware and back end, with React used on the front end. This is an initial six-month contract with the possibility of extension, requiring the candidate to be on-site in downtown Austin, Texas, five days a week.

Requirements

• Must live in or be easily commutable to downtown Austin.
• 3+ years of experience with .Net Core and/or C#
• Experience with MVC
• Experience with SQL
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a small team of engineers.
• Experience working across the stack (.Net Core/C# and SQL).
