About The Position

We are working with a government entity in Austin, Texas, to find a .NET developer to support an ongoing upgrade project. This role involves supporting inter-government projects and platform enhancements, as well as working on a portal project designed to upgrade how the Government interacts with internal and external partners. The goal is to move away from traditional Client Services Systems and build slick portals for better information flow and partner interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, possess strong communication skills, and collaborate effectively with a small team of engineers. The team is transitioning to .Net 6 (.Net Core) from .Net 5, with SQL as the database. The role requires full-stack capabilities, focusing on .Net Core/C# and SQL, with JavaScript experience being a plus. The majority of the work is in the middleware and back end, while the front end uses React. This is an initial six-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with .Net Core and/or C#
• Experience with MVC
• Experience with SQL
• Ability to work autonomously
• Great communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with a small team of engineers
• Experience working across the stack (.Net Core/C# and SQL)
• Must live in or be easily commutable to downtown Austin
