About The Position

Elevate Government Solutions is a high-growth technology services company focused on driving technological change in the government space. Its teams work with government agencies to develop and deploy emerging technology solutions using a tailored Agile methodology. The .NET Developer will support a Federal client by maintaining an existing application, adding new modules, and addressing performance and functional issues. This is an individual-contributor role requiring the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. Effective communication and prioritization are important. Candidates must be able to pass a federal background check and obtain a public trust clearance. Candidates in the Washington, DC area are preferred, but remote accommodations may be made for the right candidate.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 4 years of professional experience in back-end development with .NET and Azure.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID, microservices, RESTful APIs, version control, Git, testing and QA practices, and responsive web design.
Experience with secure coding practices, input validation, role-based access control (RBAC), authentication and authorization (OAuth, IWT), error handling, and logging.
Experience with AI tools.
Expertise in Agile delivery and enterprise software development.
Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, including conveying technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems using sound logic and understanding.
Ability to understand complex tasks efficiently and produce project artifacts that satisfy project objectives.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Initiative and ability to overcome barriers to entry and quickly identify decision makers.
Ability to think and execute strategically and tactically.

Responsibilities

Work with the development team on operations and maintenance (O&M) and new product development activities.
Design and develop robust, scalable web applications using .NET.
Develop system enhancements and change requests, and resolve defects to improve the application.
Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
Leverage AI tools for development.
Escalate roadblocks and issues to project leadership professionally and in a timely manner.
Work with project leadership and stakeholders to implement or consult on requested solutions.
Work independently with little to no daily supervision while collaborating as a team player and remaining open to ideas and learning.
Work in a distributed team environment, communicating virtually with team members across multiple locations to support clients.
