About The Position

The .NET Developer develops, enhances, tests, and maintains web applications supporting U.S. Navy missions. The role works across frontend and backend components, creating user interfaces and ensuring reliable integration among application services, databases, REST APIs, and other interfaces. It also supports application performance, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, production stability, and secure coding practices. The developer investigates and resolves defects and production issues, develops and executes unit and integration tests, participates in code reviews, and follows coding standards and version-control practices. The role documents changes and technical solutions and collaborates with developers, system engineers, database administrators, site reliability engineering, and infrastructure teams, including troubleshooting application issues in Kubernetes-based environments as needed. This is a 100% remote position. Applicants must have an active Secret or higher-level security clearance and be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility criteria for the clearance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on development using C# and .NET.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Active Secret security clearance; the posting also accepts a higher-level active clearance.
U.S. citizenship, as required for eligibility to obtain this type of security clearance.
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET 8.0.
Experience developing and maintaining web applications using Blazor and JavaScript.
Experience with front-end technologies such as Bootstrap and React.js.
Experience integrating and troubleshooting REST APIs and application interfaces.
Experience with Oracle databases, including writing SQL queries and supporting application-to-database integration.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills, including investigating application defects and resolving production issues.
Ability to collaborate with developers, database administrators, system engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documenting technical changes and communicating issues and solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, test, and maintain web applications using C# and .NET 8.0 across multiple applications.
Develop and maintain user interfaces using Blazor, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and React.js, with attention to functionality, usability, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
Implement and maintain functionality across frontend and backend components, ensuring reliable integration between user interfaces, application services, and databases.
Integrate and maintain REST APIs and other application interfaces, troubleshoot integration issues, and assess the impact of changes to external APIs and dependent services.
Integrate front-end applications with AWS services.
Ensure application performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
Develop and maintain Oracle queries and database interactions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliable application functionality.
Collaborate with database administrators on complex queries and database-related issues as needed.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application defects and production issues, especially those involving frontend functionality, application behavior, and system integrations.
Develop and execute unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow coding standards and version-control practices.
Identify and resolve application performance issues, improve responsiveness, and support production application stability and reliability.
Follow established secure coding practices and applicable program security requirements.
Document application changes and technical solutions; collaborate with technical team members to investigate and resolve cross-system issues.
Collaborate with site reliability engineering and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot application issues in Kubernetes-based environments as needed.
