About The Position

The .NET Developer will support the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a partial rewrite using microservices and modularization. The developer will work within an Agile/Scrum team and contribute to the development of backend services and application components using .NET Core and C#. This role collaborates with solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, and testers and reports to the Development Manager.

Requirements

• Experience developing applications using .NET Core and C# (7 Years)
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices (7 Years)
• Experience consuming and integrating with SQL Server on Azure VM environments (7 Years)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices (7 Years)
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD pipelines (7 Years)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams (7 Years)
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience integrating backend systems with ETL pipelines such as SSIS or Databricks (3 Years)
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools (5 Years)
• Familiarity with domain-driven design and microservices (5 Years)
• Experience with distributed systems or high-availability environments (5 Years)
• Understanding of tolling or transportation systems (preferred but not required) (5 Years)
• Experience integrating backend systems with ETL pipelines such as SSIS or Databricks (Desired)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with SQL developers to implement efficient data access patterns.
• Contribute to modernization of the tolling platform using microservices and modular architecture.
• Develop new application features and enhance existing functionalities.
• Participate in performance optimization efforts across application layers.
• Integrate with Azure-based components and cloud services.
• Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver sprint commitments.
