About The Position

Wepoint is seeking a .NET Developer to join their team. This role involves collaborating with business analysts to understand needs and identify technical approaches, developing new features, improving existing applications, and fixing bugs. The developer will present features to stakeholders, participate in Scrum activities, and automate CI/CD or Observability tasks. The position also includes contributing to new projects, maintaining the current codebase, and providing management with necessary indicators for decision-making.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work with complex information systems
  • Knowledge of the financial markets (equity markets, interest rates, derivatives, etc.)
  • Organizational skills, methodical, analytical
  • Experience with .Net
  • Experience with DB: SQL Server / Oracle / Postgresql
  • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
  • Experience with IBM MQ, RabbitMQ
  • Experience with CI tools: Git / Jenkins / SonarQube / XL Deploy / JFrog
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Jira)
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English
  • Legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand needs, identify the best technical approach, and estimate effort.
  • Develop new features, improve existing applications, and fix bugs.
  • Present features to stakeholders and product owners to gain a solid understanding of the business and receive feedback on delivered work.
  • Participate in Scrum activities such as daily meetings, backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives, and demonstrations.
  • Improve and automate various cross-functional tasks related to CI/CD frameworks or Observability.
  • Take charge of numerous new upcoming projects and contribute to, fix, and refactor the current codebase.
  • Provide visibility to management and supply them with the necessary indicators for decision-making.
