About The Position

The New York City Office Of Administrative Tax Appeals (OATA) is a small agency that oversees both the New York City Tax Commission and the New York City Tax Appeals Tribunal. OATA provides NYC property owners and taxpayers with an independent forum in which to appeal tax-related determinations of the New York City Department of Finance. The OATA IT Services division is committed to transforming the agency through innovation and collaboration. Under the supervision of the Chief, the .Net Developer/Analyst will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and developing applications.

Requirements

  • Must have current professional/vendor certifications.
  • A masters degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university AND 12 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience in computer applications development planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university AND 24 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience.
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent AND 24 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience plus 48 months of information technology experience.
  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience which is equivalent to the high school diploma option.
  • Education may be substituted for the information technology experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university is equivalent to 12 months of experience, up to a maximum of 48 months.
  • If qualifying under options 2, 3 or 4, must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least 24 months of satisfactory full-time specialized information technology experience.
