About The Position

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. The role involves configuring and supporting the Profisee MDM platform, translating business requirements into MDM rules, models, and workflows, and contributing to Solution Design Documents. The position requires designing and implementing match/merge and survivorship rules, golden record validation rules, and data stewardship workflows. The Lead MDM Analyst - Developer will develop and maintain master and reference data models, hierarchies, and crosswalks, and support the onboarding of various data domains. Collaboration with Data Owners, SMEs, and Data Stewards is crucial for defining business rules, data quality rules, and glossary definitions. The role also involves supporting data integration, migration, and synchronization, participating in testing cycles, troubleshooting data quality issues, and ensuring alignment with enterprise MDM standards. Partnership with Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Governance teams is expected, along with close collaboration with business SMEs, Data Owners, and Data Stewards throughout the full lifecycle of MDM delivery. The goal is to help establish repeatable, scalable MDM processes and patterns.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in data management, business systems, data integration, enterprise applications, or related technology disciplines, with progressive responsibility across business and technical domains.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Master Data Management (MDM) experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or enhancing enterprise MDM solutions.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Profisee experience configuring and administering the Profisee platform, including entities, hierarchies, match/merge rules, survivorship logic, workflows, crosswalks, security, and stewardship processes.
  • Strong SQL skills and data analysis experience
  • Experience with Data modeling, Data integration / ETL and Data quality troubleshooting
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Nice To Haves

  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DCAM, or equivalent data management certification preferred.
  • Relevant cloud, data platform, architecture, governance, or integration certifications are a plus; Snowflake and Databricks
  • API integration and customization (SOAP, REST, Java)
  • Business Process and Workflow alignment
  • Profisee Certified Professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Financial Services / Wealth Management experience
  • Exposure to Data Governance / Data Stewardship programs; Data Quality and Metadata
  • Experience data technologies, APIs, or Power BI
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Familiarity with Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience supporting AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support the Profisee MDM platform
  • Translate business requirements into MDM rules, models, and workflows
  • Contribute to and often own Solution Design Documents for data domains
  • Design and implement Match/merge and survivorship rules, Golden record validation rules, Data stewardship workflows and approvals
  • Develop and maintain master and reference data models, hierarchies, and crosswalks in alignment with Data Architecture standards.
  • Support onboarding and mastering of domains such as such as Client, Financial Professional (Advisor) Account, Investment Securities, and Reference Data
  • Work with Data Owners, SMEs, and Data Stewards to define: Business rules, Data quality rules, Glossary definitions and governance processes
  • Support data integration, migration, and synchronization between systems
  • Participate in design, development, QA, and UAT testing cycles
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and improve upstream data processes
  • Ensure alignment to enterprise MDM standards, architecture, and operating model
  • Partner across Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Governance (Data Trust) teams
  • Collaborate closely with business SMEs, Data Owners, and Data Stewards
  • Contribute across the full lifecycle of MDM delivery—from design through production support
  • Help establish repeatable, scalable MDM processes and patterns
