Nephrologist
About The Position
Seeking a Nephrologist for a Locum Tenens position in Missoula, MT. This inpatient role involves providing call-only coverage for adult patients from December 18, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The position requires managing dialysis patients (Hemo, CRRT & Peritoneal) and involves 24-hour beeper call with a 20-minute response time. The patient volume is estimated at 10-20 patients per day. The practice includes 2 physicians and 2 mid-level providers, supported by 1 RN and 1 MA. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 220 total beds, including 24 ICU beds. Epic is the EMR system used, and lab & X-ray services are available on-site. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available.
Requirements
- Active MT License or IMLC
- Board Certified (BC)
- DEA
- Experience in management of dialysis patients (Hemo, CRRT & Peritoneal)
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage for Nephrology patients.
- Manage dialysis patients including Hemo, CRRT, and Peritoneal dialysis.
- Respond to calls within 20 minutes.
- Oversee adult patient care in an inpatient setting.
- Collaborate with support staff (RN, MA) and other physicians/mid-levels in the practice.
