About The Position

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for a specialist in Nephrology at our Capitol Hill Medical Center. Unlike other U.S. health systems, MAPMG is built and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. Our focus is on long-term health, prevention, diagnosing, and treating diseases effectively. MAPMG researchers and staff support innovative ideas, ensuring quality care, educational programming, and advancing best practices through research. This position is listed as a 1.0FTE, which is the equivalent of 40 hours per week. It covers all aspects of nephrology hypertension care, including kidney replacement treatment, CKD, acute nephrology care in the hospital, and post-kidney transplant follow-up. There is a call rotation every 6-8 weeks, and clinical pharmacy support for ESA management. The role is responsible for clinical services across three hospitals, with opportunities for teaching and research available. The primary practice location is Capitol Hill Medical Center, with partial coverage at Largo Medical Center.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible in Nephrology
• Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
