About The Position

The practice is hiring a full-time, onsite Nephrologist to provide nephrology care across the Milwaukee Area. The role includes outpatient and inpatient renal care, dialysis coverage, and hospital rounding. The physician will coordinate with a team of 13 nephrologists and four advanced practitioners, with coverage across four regional offices, hospitals, and dialysis centers. The practice has a large CKD and ESRD patient base, including upwards of 1,300 ESRD patients, and a strong local reputation for quality outcomes and relationships with referring physicians. The physician will work from one of the regional offices and provide care in hospital and dialysis settings as needed. The schedule includes call in a 1:4 rotation. Physicians have full autonomy over their schedules, and clinical research or teaching may be added alongside the clinical schedule. The role is being recruited for due to an upcoming retirement.

Requirements

MD or DO.
Board eligible or board certified in Nephrology.
Completion of an accredited U.S. Internal Medicine and Nephrology fellowship program.
Current unrestricted Wisconsin medical license or ability to obtain one.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored visa support.
Candidates pursuing board certification through ABIM Pathway E cannot be accommodated.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat chronic kidney disease and other renal conditions in clinic, hospital, and dialysis settings.
Coordinate care plans with referring providers and the broader care team.
Provide call coverage in a 1:4 rotation.
Maintain timely documentation and patient follow-up.
