About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Hershey, PA. The role involves providing clinical coverage for high-acuity Neonatal ICU patients. The position is inpatient and requires coverage for evening, night, and weekend shifts, with the possibility of 24-hour shifts. Responsibilities include overseeing daily patient care in collaboration with physicians, performing critical procedures, and participating in neonatal transport. The coverage period is from ASAP to December 31, 2026. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- PA or IMLC License
- BLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NRP Certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience in neonatal critical care
- Experience in neonatal transport
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily care of high-acuity NICU patients in collaboration with physicians
- Perform required procedures including PICC/UVC/UAC lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and intubations
- Participate in neonatal ground and air transport as needed
- Cover evening, night, and weekend shifts, with the possibility of 24-hour shifts
- Complete orientation sessions and training modules as required
