Neonatology - Advanced Practice Provider
About The Position
Carle Health is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Level III NICU team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of 8 Nurse Practitioners and 6 Neonatologists in a 48-bed NICU, including a 14-bed step-down unit. The team provides dedicated 24-hour Neonatologist Physician coverage. The role involves attending high-risk deliveries and performing standard NICU procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC lines, Umbilical Catheterization, and chest tubes. A dedicated Neonatal and Perinatal air and ground transport team is also available. The schedule is flexible and includes evenings, nights, and holidays.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
- Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse license.
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification and licensure required.
- PA applicants will need to have completed a NICU APP Fellowship or have previous experience practicing as a NICU PA
