About The Position
Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) position available at 0.9 FTE for night shifts. The primary location is Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, but flexibility is required to provide staffing at Waukesha Memorial Hospital as well. We are seeking an RCP who possesses, or is willing to learn, the phlebotomy and respiratory support skills required to provide care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Care
- State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care License
- BLS required
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- Maintain continuing education requirements per NBRC guidelines
Nice To Haves
- More than 1 year NICU or Critical Care experience preferred
- PALS (preferred)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist(RRT) preferred.
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides care to patients of all ages requiring respiratory care services by administering treatments and procedures both invasive and noninvasive.
- Educates patients, family members and staff as needed.
- Assesses patient need for care and makes recommendations to providers as appropriate.
- Maintain and complete intubation competencies for the Mukwonago location, if applicable.
