About The Position

This is a 12-month intensive Physician Assistant Neonatal Post-Graduate Training Program with Pediatrix Neonatology of San Antonio, designed for graduate physician assistants (PAs) seeking to subspecialize in neonatology. The program provides PAs with the crucial skills needed to deliver comprehensive, team-based care for high-risk and convalescing newborns. The group provides a full range of newborn/neonatal care in three inner-city hospital systems with multiple Level-II and Level-III+ NICUs. The medical community includes a wide range of mother and infant subspecialists supported by two children’s hospitals for this growing South Texas area. Responsibilities include managing and facilitating comprehensive neonatal care including programs for HFOV, nitric oxide and ECMO. We welcome new graduates and provide a comprehensive new graduate orientation and mentor program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program
  • Must be a NCPPA Certified PA prior to matriculating
  • Must attain licensure as a PA in TX prior to matriculating
