About The Position

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Southwest General is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time position. This role requires expertise in knowledge, procedures, and independent practice. Neonatal APP experience is mandatory, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a level 3-4 NICU is strongly preferred. The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for delivering quality care to patients, enhancing patient access, and improving satisfaction. Standard tasks will be performed in accordance with the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity-specific Medical Bylaws.

Requirements

  • Neonatal APP experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a level 3-4 NICU strongly preferred
  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
  • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • 1+ years as a Physician Assistant Required
  • 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner Required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
  • Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
  • Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
  • Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
  • Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Current APRN License (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • minimum of 2 years experience in a level 3-4 NICU strongly preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
