Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Kokomo
About The Position
Community Health Network is seeking a full-time experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to work alongside our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and newborn nursery staff at Community Howard Regional Health located in Kokomo, Indiana, north of Indianapolis. This provider will join one of the nation’s most integrated healthcare systems, with over 1,400 providers in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves providing care for Level-II newborns with the ability to stabilize those who require transfer. The position is within a Level II NICU with six beds, including one isolation room. Occupational, physical, and speech therapists are available via consultation, and lactation consultants are available seven days a week. The system utilizes EPIC EMR.
Requirements
- Level II NICU experience preferred
- Experience with delivery attendance and initial stabilization, including procedures (intubation, umbilical line placement, vent management, circumcisions, frenectomies)
- Ability to provide care for Level-II newborns with the ability to stabilize those we do not keep for transfer
- Must be hard-working, able to practice independently, and possess excellent communication skills
- Educational background consistent with requirements for licensure and certification within the state of Indiana
